Carborundum prints and chine collé

I believe I have perceived in the works of Agathe Bouton the imprint of time, the trace of erosion, the memory of a world that has disappeared inscribed in the texture of the work.

These uneven reliefs, these burnt colours, and the metallic brilliance of the sun compose these landscapes.

Some grains of sand, fixed on a surface, are inked before being printed for the first time. This is followed by other prints, other applications of ink, and by paper collages. By this set of superimpositions, these layers, always done in new ways, Agathe Bouton achieves a unique work of art each time.
